Exploring different cultures and accepting great challenges is part of Angel Eugenio’s life. Born in Venezuela, the marketing professional decided to call Beijing home and is fluent in Mandarin. In July 2019, Angel joined EIA Hong Kong with the goal of connecting with people from all over the world.

During his 10 days of the program, Angel worked hard along with his team, Native, to create a VR/AR educational content platform. After the intense days at EIA, the young entrepreneur shared his thoughts about his days in Hong Kong.

1. What are you passionate about?

I can tell that EIA combines two of my greatest passions: entrepreneurship and startups. Aside from my professional life, I’m also passionate about the fitness universe and health topics.

2. What were the expectations for EIA?

When I was accepted into the program, I assumed I’d have a lot of classes and theoretical lessons. To my surprise, it was quite the contrary: the program was completely hands-on. The EIA experience was much more about practice rather than lots of classes and theory. I learned—as I expected—many useful things!

3. What was your biggest challenge during the program?

The EIA program is all about challenges, and that’s what is exciting about it. Regarding our startup idea, the biggest challenge was creating traction in only 10 days. There was a lot to do in such a short period of time.

4. How would you describe your EIA days?

Exciting, educational, productive, and fun!

5. Can you share a quote that inspires you?

“If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done. Make at least one definite move daily towards your goal.” Bruce Lee
